Balls break!! |

I have purchased many golf balls over the past few years from this company and, on the outside at least, the balls are as advertised. Last year, however, I broke one of my Callaways in a Men's Club event. When I say "broke", I mean that the ball split into two pieces! A couple of months later, in a member-guest tourny, I watched my drive fall out of the air like a wounded bird. The ball had stayed in one piece, but had a major crack in it. I'm vain and have a fairly high club head spead (110 mph with driver), so I flattered myself into thinking that this was a result of my awesome power.
I just bought more of the first and second quality Tour IX balls. I played with them for the first time a few days ago and, on the 7th hole, my ball fell out of the air again. It was cracked all the way through. Yesterday, I cracked two more balls in the first six holes! I finished the round with new golf balls.
Three broken balls in less than two rounds means no more used balls for me.
