Note: I have an over 100 mph swing. The best selling golf balls are the TM and Srixon Distance as they are cheap. Classic rocks that won't hold the green. The Srixon Soft Feel provides good wedge back spin and so IMHO are a better buy. BUT, these aren't very reliable (lasting about 6 holes). Better balls are the Bridgestone e6 or e12 and TaylorMade TP5. They're long and straight and last 10-12 holes. Then finally, there's these Titleist Pro V1x. If you always lose more than a few balls in 18 buy these cheaper Srixon Soft Feel. If you only lose 2-3, buy the e6/12 or TP5. But, if you only lose only one or none at all in a round, the Titeist Pro V1 is the best buy (the straightest and most reliable gold balls). These are 5-star balls IF you lose a lot of balls but want the consistency from always playing the same ball (or if you have a slow swing speed). You can buy these new for $12 a dozen (like at Target). So, I would buy new over mint. I go with near mint here.
